It focussed on ensuring equal rights for the disabled, including access, employment opportunities, and the role of media in promoting their cause. The dignitaries who participated in the programme included Nagesh Kukunoor (film maker), Ashish Shelar (BJP MLA), V. Ranganathan (Chairperson, The Mumbai Heritage Conservation Committee), Brinda Somaya (renowned architect and urban planner), Rekha Vijaikar Educationist and Dr. Ketna Mehta (Founder, Nina Foundation and Associate Dean, Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research). A charter on awareness creation on Disability was signed by the participants at the event.
